For almost 200 former medical research chimpanzees living at the Alamogordo Primate Facility in New Mexico, the past decade has been free of the biomedical tests so often plaguing their earlier years. But as the New York Times reports, the National Institutes of Health have petitioned to use the chimps once more for medical research.
