This is an experimental feature, with data collected as of June 27 2011, still being fine-tuned.

Click on "Feeds" on the left in the frame below, to check the lastest news for each of the news feeds.
Then click on the globe-icon to see the stories on the map.

Experiment with the different navigation menus and icons to find new ways to explore the latest news.

The initialization of the map takes a little while, as a lot of data is loaded. You'll need a bit of patience.

For the nerds amongst you: You can also display the articles for any search item on a Google map, using an automatic KML-generator on my experimental site.

For instance, use the URL:

.. to display this map with the latest articles on "war".

You can replace the search argument "war" in that URL (%3Fsearch%3Dwar%26) with any other keyword.
